Summary:
Tag Scanner is an application that any music maniac should have. It keeps music collections well organized in a simple and fast way; it has its own methods, and I'm about to reveal them.
Organizing is based mainly on song tags. Well labeled tags arrange songs in a proper order. Tags are generated from file name or imported from Amazon and Freedb and numerous tags can be edited at the same time, saving also a lot of time. Besides the usual information, you can also add covert picture and lyrics to the song.
Tag Scanner supports MP4 files, MP3, WMA, OGG, Mousepack, WavePack, TrueAudio, AAC, SPEEX and FLAC formats that you can play and edit; you can export created playlist to HTML or Excel. The supported tags are ID3v1, ID3v2, Vorbis comments, APEv2, WindowsMedia and MP4 (iTunes).
The interface is organised in tabs and has a light design.
Sometimes, the exported tag information may not be that accurate. Anyhow, Tag Scanner still saves you for losing a lot of time and does all the boring job for you.
Pros & Cons
- Supports a various number of formats.
